Each morning I start my day with a glass of lemon water. It’s just 12 ounces of water with 1/4 to a 1/2 of fresh lemon squeezed into it. There are many reasons your body will love you for doing this. The first one is very basic. When you wake in the morning, your body is in a state of dehydration. By immediately hydrating, your body and your brain will wake up more quickly, you will have more energy, and you will start to think clearer right away. I recommend keeping a glass of water with lemon at your bedside. Each morning when your alarm goes off, drink your water first thing, and get your body and your day started off in a healthy way. Knowing that you already took one healthy step right off the bat, you will be more likely to make other good choices for your health as the day progresses!
